If you have several types of flooring in your house and don't want to spend additional money for a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping features, this is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this little robot is a good option. It offers a broad range of features, including self-emptying dustbins and the water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's extremely quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. However, it isn't able to take care of tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains faster than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that provides powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It's smaller than many of its rivals, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has good suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as 'not found' to ensure that they will not be picked up again during future cleanings. The photos are secure, and not tied to you account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped to the bot's bottom, and it essentially drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
